Client – A European construction entity implemented a strategy of rapid expansion through acquisitions of local companies in emerging markets. Following acquisition of several entities in East Europe, the client assigned A. Yakim to conduct a comprehensive internal audit in the acquired entities.  Our experts applied a risk assessment approach and included in the audit scope issues related to governance and compliance. The audit findings indicated that existing working procedures and control policies were not aligned with the corporate standards and ethics. We assisted the client to establish new management control systems that complied with the corporate standards and the regulatory requirements, taking into consideration the different territories of operations and associated risks.
